The researchers concluded that there is a causal relationship between speed and learning success, showing them how movement affects brain functioning. To find out, the researchers simulated areas of the cerebellum using genetic optics, finding that certain cells were genetically modified, responding to light rays.
The result was that when researchers increased the activity of the algal fiber leading to the brain, the degree of success of mice in learning was improving. The researchers concluded that the movement promotes the activity of the fibers responsible for learning, stressing that the results of their study can be applied to humans because of similar cerebellum structure in mice and humans.
